Bridge
Type Pay-Offs
Bridge
type units permit the main advantage of
having a relatively clear floor around
the reel, with the ability to roll a
reel through the machine. All
motions are electro-mechanical.
Bridge Type Pay-Offs can be traversing
or non-traversing.
These machines
are best suited for high reel weights.

Fixed Arm
Pay-Offs
Fixed Arm machines have the reel pivot
up off the floor, usually via
hydraulics. The
reel stays in a fixed position during
operation.
These are more suitable for lighter reel
weight applications.

Under Roller Pay-Offs
Under Roller Pay-offs are one of the
simplest forms of pay-offs. The reel rotates via dual rotating rollers located beneath it.
The rollers can be driven if required. These units are usually required to
be entrenched in the floor, such that a reel can easily roll on and off it.
They are better suited for slow running applications.

Multi-Station Pay-Offs
Multi-station Pay-Offs, usually for
smaller reels, permit a common stand to house a multitude of
common reels, with the product of each reel disjoining from the accompanying
process involved. They can be driven or non-driven, with or without a
dancer arm, with or without a brake.

Cone Flyer Pay-Offs
Calmec's dual cone Flyer Pay-Offs permit
the paying off of a bare wire off a driven or non-driven reel prior to the wire
travelling into it's
process. The dual cone setup permits the joining of the wires from both
the reels to allow for an uninterrupted run. The cones are sound insulated
to minimize noise.

Fixed Frame
Pay-Offs
Fixed Frame Pay-Offs are
designed to accommodate a single relatively small size reel. There is no
lifting of the reel except for the cone of the pintle raising the reel just off
the floor. They can be driven or non-driven, with or without a brake.

Size Range
- 24"-36" diameter

Maximum Reel Weight
- 500 - 2000 lb. depending on size
machine
